When the tire is attached to the rim, the tire is sealed between the rims, trapping air inside. If a tire is found to be leaking for any reason during daily use, it must be removed for repair, but it may still be difficult to remove the tire from the metal rim. Therefore, the bead breaker is used to compress the tire, insert a lever between the bead and rim, and lift the bead from the rim without damaging any parts.
